Falling for Your Florida Pool: 7 Seasonal Ideas

Just like the inside of your home, your pool area and exterior living spaces can do with a bit of décor and dressing-up for the fall season. In todays’ blog, we will be looking at seven f un (and easy!) ways to get your space ready for the months ahead.

Drape comfy blankets or towels over outdoor chairs

That comfy, cozy fall feeling isn’t just for the interior of your home. For outdoor entertaining this season, keep your favorite throw blankets (or, if swimming is on the schedule, fluffy towels) draped over chairs so you and your guests are always ready to warm up and relax.

String warm, twinkling lights from exterior structures

Whether you opt for fun colors like orange or green and red, or stick to the timelessly appealing warm white, string lights are an easy lighting option to hang from your pergola, balcony or backyard trees. They’re a natural pick for the holiday season ahead, but can work just as well throughout the year.

Dot your pool’s borders with clusters of pumpkins and orange fall flowers

Bring the colors (and fruits!) of fall to your pool space with ease, by adding items like pumpkins or lush flower arrangements to the border of the water.

Switch out pillows and cushions for seasonal colors

If you have extra outdoor pillows or cushions to spare, consider adding them to your poolside furniture to blend the inside of your home with a warm, cozy outside.

Add festive outdoor mats

An easy welcome mat with leaves or other seasonal designs will work well outside of your patio doors, so as to prevent slips and puddles after a long day in the water.

Warm up with a fire pit

A fire pit can add a cozy, rustic style to your space throughout the year—during the fall, however, it’s an especially smart addition thanks to the warmth it will provide on cool nights outdoors.

Set warm fall lights afloat

For even more ambient lighting, try a do-it-yourself approach by placing waterproof, battery-powered tea light candles in floating orange or red lanterns. You’ll have an easy, stylish light source that moves with the water and adds a welcome glow to your seasonal get-togethers.
